hildegund sell – vase | wtk meissen | 1966

my favourite find of the last time is this beautiful vase designed by hildegund sell. its three-dimensional pattern conceals a secret. to disclose the secret it needs a viewing into the vase. the mystic appearance of the surface is made of an old chinese ceramic method – rice grain porcelain. the glaze filling of little holes after biscuit firing creates small translucent spots. the vase is a piece of a serie and was shown at the sixth german art exhibition in dresden in 1967. [white porcelain, h. 11,7cm, dm. 16cm]
